Seattle Pride Celebrates Pope Francis' Support of LGBTQIA+ Civil Unions

“We believe that love is love, and that everyone should be able to marry without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity. With human rights in all forms being challenged at every turn, we are pleased to see the leader of one of the world’s largest religions acknowledge that we are all children of God, and to declare support for LGBTQIA+ unions. While this is an important step toward acceptance and inclusion, we still want and deserve the right to marry within our faith and the church of our choosing.”
